About The West Fork
The West Fork Journal is a place for all things fun and exciting related to the outdoors. I’m not going to lie to you and pretend I know all it is to know about a certain topic. Like you, I am still very much a student of the game. The game being hunting. So you aren’t going to find the latest how-to article on bagging the biggest buck during the rut. Mainly because I don’t know how to myself.
What I hope you do find is content that is fun, exciting, or informative. This site is made up about things that I find to fall in those categories.
The name The West Fork Journal comes from my time spent in Idaho. I believe that living and exploring that state changed my life. Man, that sounds corny but I think it’s true. While living in Idaho I found a few awesome hunting spots. Each just so happened to be in a drainage of The West Fork of a particular branch. I just happened to find them by chance. Time spent on google maps and thinking to myself that it looked like it was worth checking out.
These places will forever remain special to me. They continue to be my inspiration to get outside, explore, and hunt.
